OUR FOUNDER
Founded by María del Mar Alfaro, Del Mar Adventures is rooted in a lifelong relationship with nature, movement, and the belief that travel is not meant to escape life but to return to it
Raised in Costa Rica and shaped by a lifetime of surfing, traveling, studying, and working in tourism, María developed both an intimate relationship and a professional understanding of the country’s landscapes, people, and culture. Through those experiences, she came to understand how meaningful a trip can be when its purpose lies in genuine connection with the places we visit and the people we meet. Del Mar Adventures was born from this realization and aims to create Costa Rica experiences that make people feel alive, so they can return home carrying something real.
