Experiences crafted with intention—to move, to breathe, to remember who you are—in body, mind, and soul.

Del Mar Adventures was born in Costa Rica, between the waves of the ocean and the silence of the cloud forests. Its founder, María del Mar Alfaro, has spent years designing wellness experiences that nourish both body and spirit. It all began with women-only surf camps—grounding days of yoga, hiking, bonfires, and connection among ladies who often left as transformed versions of themselves.

“It was my way of reconnecting with myself and with other women.”

But María del Mar felt something deeper was asking to emerge. It wasn’t just about surfing, or yoga, or even nature. It was about creating sacred spaces where people could let go, reconnect, and remember who they truly are.

And so, Del Mar Adventures was born—a series of experiences intentionally designed to integrate movement, ritual, exploration, and community.

What Makes a Del Mar Experience Different?

Each Del Mar experience is carefully woven. There’s nothing generic here. Experienced locations are chosen for their energy, beauty, and ability to create a sense of space.

Matapalo, for example, is a hidden gem between the jungle and the sea—ideal for immersing yourself in nature, playing with the ocean, and disconnecting for a real reset.

“Matapalo is wild, adventurous, an insane dose of jungle,” says María del Mar.

San Gerardo de Dota, by contrast, is mist, forest, and stillness—a place where thoughts slow down and the essential rises.

“San Gerardo is like an enchanted forest where the mind comes to rest. It is heaven on Earth.”

Each experience blends practices like surfing, yoga, meditation, pilates, functional strength, hiking, and breathwork with deeply nourishing food, shared rituals, and time to simply be. This isn’t about rigid schedules—it’s about an organic flow that allows each participant to receive what they most need.

And Del Mar doesn’t stop there. Personalized experiences are also offered in unique destinations around the world, crafted and guided by María del Mar herself. One special example is a soul-led journey through the Sacred Valley in Cusco, Peru, near Machu Picchu. These intimate experiences are designed to meet you where you are—and take you deeper into where you’re meant to go.

Wellness with Intention, Beauty, and a Sense of Belonging

Del Mar aims to create something lasting, beyond a single experience. This isn’t just a break. It’s the beginning of something much more: a conscious tribe, a circle of people who share a desire to live with more presence, joy, and authenticity.

After the experience, we stay connected. Through newsletters, special content, and reunions, the community remains alive. The journey doesn’t end when you pack your bags—it’s only just beginning.

Who Is This For?

Del Mar was created especially for women—though not exclusively—who are in a moment of transition, seeking something more, or simply ready to return to themselves. Mothers, entrepreneurs, artists, leaders, caregivers. Women who hold others and now need to be held.

“We’re speaking to women who are ready to let go, to reconnect, or simply to pause,” says María del Mar.

But it’s also open to anyone who hears the call—those longing for meaningful, soulful experiences designed with care. No labels. Just intention.

What to Expect

Each experience includes different options of daily movement practices like yoga, pilates, or functional strength, organic local meals, ceremonies, integration circles, and plenty of space to breathe. Some experiences are more ceremonial—like Deepen your intentions in Perú.. Others are more contemplative, like Cloud Forest Heaven in San Gerardo, designed to reconnect you with inner quiet.

And always, there is a key ritual: sharing a meal. Yes, eating. But not just eating. We sit, we breathe, we speak. That simple act of eating in community becomes part of the medicine.

“Those moments of communion are what truly transform.”

Now more than ever, we need spaces like this. Spaces where silence is welcome, where nature is the teacher, and where the sacred lives in every gesture.

You’re already here.

Now take the next step—discover how to be part of the adventure.
